WebMay 22, 2007 · I've tried electro-frog turnouts that were marked as 'DCC friendly' with a DCC layout and found them extremely lacking, especially with cars with metal wheels. I had many repeated shorts on the frogs with no derailments involved. I've gone to all insul-frog turnouts and haven't had any more shorting problems. The "Insulfrog" only supplies power to the route the points are set for. This difference is more important for DCC layouts, and the "Insulfrog" turnouts require more wiring on DC.

If it's an insulfrog slip, it should take care of itself, but if it's an electrofrog, you'll need to add polarity switches for the frogs. 2. So, you need three pairs of feeders to ensure that the Insulfrog turnout is fully powered. The Electrofrog has a powered metal frog, but the wiring is more involved. WebJun 14, 2013 · Please take note the Purple wire is the "frog" wire. The Orange is the Plus and the Green is the Minus wire (My own terminology!) Now you have to turn the point over and cut through the two rails leading to the "frog" so it completely isolates it elecritrically. I use a cutting disc in a mini drill. 類語 問題ありません
