Feather Fill is a high solids, medium build polyester surfacer and the Feather Fill G2 (their newest version) is a high solids, high build product which meets CA and national rule VOC requirements.
WebAug 31, 2014 · tech69. I've gotten used to Evercoat's Finish Sand 4:1. It's a poly primer surfacer that's rated for direct to metal priming with epoxy in the hardener. It's pretty good stuff. Doesn't have the fill properties of the old feather fill or slick sand but it's pretty good stuff due to the DTM rating and good to know it's more dense than the old stuff. I used SPI for my total build. Epoxy over all bare metal, then I shot Turbo primer, then reduced epoxy as a sealer just before spraying SPI single stage black three coats. It doesn’t specify. I called evercoat and their tech rep said you can seal and paint over it. However when I emailed evercoat they said refer to your paint manufacturer.
