They had highly defined detail through all spectrums and an amazing stereo image as well as an amazingly low and defined bottom end for a speaker of that size. I am still astounded by the power in these speakers and thats saying something because I've blown a few up in my time. WebJan 6, 2024 · Besides the Trio’s I’m not a big Focal fan. I would certainly favour the Type 20 over the Solo’s and Twins, but there is a price premium involved (Type 20 is more expensive, aleast where I live). Between the Trio’s and and the Type 20 it’s a closer call in my experience, but now the 20’s are more affordable and that would be my pick.

If your "solo" mixes are lacking clarity in there - the "twins" do a better job of delivering in this area. If 20hz to 60hz is the concern - a sub is needed for either model.
