WebJul 20, 2024 · GFS doesn’t make anything themselves, it’s all just rebranded stuff (well, so is GM now that I think of it) With GFS you get the same Chinese stuff you can find on eBay/Amazon, but they put their brand on it and increase the price. The GM stuff is the same way, but they don’t seem to mark it up nearly as much as GFS does... WebJan 28, 2016 · Nice work. I've heard the 85/15s are very nice. I now have a core Custom 22 that allows for the use of the bridge humbucker with a split neck pickup. I use the sound so much that I lifted the lead that splits the bridge pickup, from the Tone control, on my S2 Custom 22. That would give you a very weak (250k), single coil sound. If you are looking for more brightness, I recommend lowering the pickups and raising the pole screws.
