It will ride a little more rough just because it is shorter. It will probably run a little more economically than the 23 as well. Those larger Haynie Cats are huge boats, very wide and keep their width all the way to the bow.

As for Majek, great finish work, rigging depends on dealer, it can be hard to drive at speed for a novice (depending on setup). If you fish the deeper water and drift then a haynie HO/mag, blazer, Majek extreme would work. If you cross shallow water then look at the cats. It doesnt slice through waves and create a cushion effect in the tunnel. On smooth water its great. I love the layout of the m2 illusion and reapers with raised decks. Love the low walk around sides. The haynie is a bigger boat. The 24 haynie floats in 10inches, will stay on plan @ 10 mph and runs rpm mph. I believe you would be happy with either purchase.
