Web25 de feb. de 2004 · Not surprisingly, certain scenes in the film (such as Mary cradling Jesus’ body as it’s taken down from the Cross) have a distinctly Roman Catholic flavor. But not so distinctive that they’re an impediment to anyone else’s faith. I commend Gibson for giving the film a broad general appeal among Bible believers of all stripes. This is a great movie. I have watched it several times and am always moved by it. It is so refreshing to see the emphasis on Jesus’ humanness without sacrificing His deity. Mary’s love and devotion to Jesus is entirely appropriate. The movie making quality is superb. The soundtrack is very moving and beautiful.
