Maslow’s “Hierarchy of Needs” theory—which hypothesized that if human lower level “deficiency needs” were not met, higher level “growth needs” would be impaired—has received substantial theoretical attention. WebThe importance of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is that it provides an understanding of why people behave the way they do. It also provides insight into what motivates people to strive for higher levels of functioning. By understanding the needs of individuals, we can better understand how to help them achieve their goals.
