WebSep 15, 2016 · Pseudoathetosis and dystonia are rare manifestations of spinal cord disease that have been already reported in lesions involving the posterior columns at the cervical level. We report two patients with a cervical demyelinating lesion at C3-C4 level presenting with hand dystonia and pseudoathetoid movements. WebPseudoathetosis refers to a movement disorder characterised by involuntary, slow, writhing movements resulting from loss of proprioception. We report a case of pseudoathetosis secondary to a demyelinating lesion in the cervical spinal cord. A 27-year-old lady presented with a 1 week history of paraesthesias in her left hand.
