WebbCumin accounts for 5.81% of total spice produced in India and Gujarat and Rajasthan alone produces 99% of total Cumin production. Major growing areas are Mehsana, Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat. The major growing areas in Rajasthan are Barmer, Jalore, Nagaur, Pali, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Tonk, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Sirohi, Sikar and Bikaner.
