WebCode 10 is usually a hardware failure. It may not necessarily be a hardware failure in the cable, though. Ports could be jacked, BIOS settings could be jacked, it could be any point in the possible chain between the device and Windows. I had Code 10 on anything I plugged into my front ports on my old box. Web7 Mar 2024 · Removing the device from device manager and scanning again doesn't fix it, but a reboot does. When this happens, in device manager the Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) OED has an exclamation by it with the message: This device cannot start. (Code 10) FW did not sent FW Ready notification.
