WebThe present Uji-bashi Bridge, 155.4 m long and 25 m wide, was rebuilt in March 1996. This bridge has traditional wooden railings of Japanese cypress with Giboshi (the onion shaped decoration on bridge posts) so that its figure fits into the natural environment of the Uji-gawa River and historical heritage sites in the neighborhood.
